The Path Orients. The Journey Transforms.

I spent years in my head.

Understanding.
Analyzing.
Breaking everything down.
I was good at it.

I understood my patterns.
My fears.
My reactions.
I thought that was enough.

Then life pulled me out of it.
Not gently.

A furnace breaking at -35.
Nights disappearing.
Decisions to make while everything was falling apart.

No space.
No process.
Just me.
In it.

And suddenly… none of what I understood mattered.

I already knew the fear.
I could name it.
Explain it.
Take it apart piece by piece.

It was still there.

Not quiet.
Present.
Tight.
Suffocating.

Always in the background.
Always ready to take over.

Because I had never actually walked through it.

And when it happens…

Not in a book.
Not in reflection.

In my body.
In the chaos.
In the moment where there is no comfortable way out—

It’s not the fear that disappears.
It’s the version of me that was living under it.

This winter, I didn’t learn more.
I walked.

Tired.
Uncertain.
Not ready.
But moving anyway.

And something shifted.
Not in my head.

In me.

I don’t feel strong because I’m capable.
I feel solid
because I’m no longer holding myself back.

The path gives direction.
But it doesn’t change anything on its own.
It’s the journey.

The one that disrupts.
The one that overflows.
The one I never would have chosen.

But walked anyway.

This piece isn’t here to explain what to do.
It’s here to bring you back to that moment.

The one where you already know.
And the only thing left…
is to move.
